Italian Olympic coverage (including fencing)
The Italian station RAI has a sport channel which also has a Web stream, over here .

There's a schedule here .

(I'm watching the women's foil bronze and gold medal bouts at the moment ... I still think you wouldn't neccessarily want to show this sort of thing to your beginners, though)

(edit: Note, Windows Media format - I had trouble trying to view it with xine on Linux, works ok with WMP on OS X, though)

olympics results
Looks like the ABC webpages have the easiest to find and fastest-updated results:
http://abc.net.au/olympics/2004/results/fe/

Looks like Evelyn was eliminated by Maureen Nisima in the 32; Nisima is up for a bronze, I think.

Let me be the first to be the first ...
Hi :-)

The Age has two areas of its website dedicated to the Olympics this year, it seems. Oddly enough, only one of them has a list of all the Olympic sports, including fencing, and links to the relevant subsections. The other one doesn't have the handy list of sports, or, seemingly, any links to the other one. In fact, I only discovered the first link the other day because there was a link to an article in that area from the front page - and today, the front page Athens-related link goes to the second (less useful) section. Weird, huh ?
Anyway, the fencing article there is about Frank Bartolillo , and hence eminently on-topic for this community.
